Artists, Assemble!
Art isn't just creativity—it's our cultural DNA, capturing the raw essence of humanity in ways history books never could. In this age of misinformation, bullying and artificial realities, we desperately need authentic voices cutting through the noise.
During a visit to Santiago's Museum of Fine Arts last year, I encountered an exhibition documenting Chile's brutal dictatorship of the 1970s and 80s. The paintings, photographs, and installations spoke volumes about the disappeared, the tortured, and the resilient spirit of the Chilean people. As my Chilean friend remarked, "Artists are the keepers of our collective memory. Without their work, future generations might forget, and history could repeat itself." These pieces weren't merely art—they were testimony, evidence, and a powerful reminder of humanity's capacity for both cruelty and resistance.
This conversation sparked my need to shout out: Artists, Assemble! Your words, brushstrokes, photographs, sculptures, and digital creations aren't mere decorations—they're powerful testimonies of our time. Whether you're documenting climate change, social upheaval, or personal struggles, your perspective matters. Pick up your tools, whatever they may be, and contribute to humanity's evolution.
Future generations will look back at the art of today to understand our triumphs, failures, and struggles. Our art could be their window into understanding these unprecedented times.

I love the call to action here, JL! As I reflect on your words, art captures the heart's response to life and can cut through the noise like a blade. It contains fire, passion, and the power of expression.
